Mid-day Debrief at Kill Devil Hills, NC
It's a beautiful day at birthplace of aviation and a good opportunity for a mid-day briefing over lunch. One of the areas Doug wants Billy to work on is correcting the yaw of the airplane on the climb. This means more right rudder. Doug also deconstructs the approach into KJZI and emphasizes the need for maintaining situational awareness and staying ahead of the airplane. He also coaches Billy on the finer points of communicating with ATC for an airborne pickup of their IFR clearance.
